Our Founders
Danielle Schmid
Danielle is passionate about providing opportunities for individuals and communities to break the cycles of intergenerational pain and trauma. Danielle previously founded ‘A Grounded Nature’ which provided evidence-based approaches to treat PTSD and trauma.
With a Master’s degree in counselling, Bachelor’s degree in Behavioural Science, and accredited as an EMDRAA Consultant, Danielle is committed to providing holistic evidence-based programs to promote healing.
To compliment her therapeutic training, Danielle is a qualified wilderness lead guide and has combined her therapeutic work with the outdoors; developing and facilitating bush adventure therapy and outpatient trauma treatment programs.

Danielle has a background as a senior professional in; service delivery and program design. She has led systemic advocacy projects to empower and engage young people with a lived experience in out-of-home care. She has had vast experience across; residential serngs, remote bush adventure therapy programs, drug rehabilitation programs, life skills programs, and the NSW out-of-home care sector. Danielle is a registered Clinical Counsellor with PACFA, and ACA (L4). Danielle is a member of the College of Clinical Counsellors, and College of Supervisors.
Danielle believes “‘doing the work’ fosters growth and change which promotes a positive ripple effect. You can shift the past traumatic memories and experiences that keep you stuck in patterns of behaviour that no longer work for you. Our brains can heal, and we can continually learn and grow- it’s the beauty of being human”.
Rebecca Higgins
With over a decade dedicated to her therapeutic journey, Rebecca seamlessly blends professional expertise, life experiences, and an unwavering passion for helping others. Since 2015 Rebecca has served as the Clinical Director and owner of The Radiant Group. During her time with The Radiant Group, Rebecca has developed and run multi-day intensive outpatient treatment programs for PTSD, trauma, addictions and complex trauma.
Rebecca's commitment to healing is evident in her methodical approach, collaborating with clients to develop and implement treatment outcomes and goals. Drawing on a diverse range of evidence-based counselling models, Rebecca tailors treatments to meet the unique needs of individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

Rebecca has a rich academic background, including a Bachelor of Counselling, and CSAT qualifications for sex addiction and trauma treatment and CPPT qualifications for Partner Betrayal trauma from the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). As a registered Clinical Counsellor and Supervisor and a member of the College of Supervisors and Clinical Counsellors, she upholds the highest standards in her practice.
Rebecca is registered with PACFA and is a level 4 ACA member.
Rebecca is an EMDR consultant registered with both EMDRAA and EMDRIA, she specialises in dissociative disorders, addictions, and CPTSD. Rebecca's commitment to holistic healing extends to her incorporation of Equine Assisted Learning, Neuro-linguistic Programming, and Family Constellations into her work.
Rebecca is passionate about education and is continuing her learning journey. Rebecca is currently undertaking a Masters of Science in Medicine (trauma informed Psychotherapy) at Sydney University
